A series of portraits taken in 2014-2015 at various social events in Boston, MA. I was interested in the wordless expression of self people share through their clothing, body language, and style.
On The Lake
Photos made between 2013-2015 around Oswego, NY. Scenes from daily life with friends in and out of the frame, and a journey of the surrounding landscape. A study of striving to find poetic moments where they’re seldom seen.
Half Frame Fantasy
I moved to Los Angeles in 2016 and had just gotten a Leica M9. The Leica I bought had some corrosion issues with the glass on top of the sensor, and luckily it was a known problem and Leica fixed it free of charge. I was without a camera for a couple of months and had a bag of 1600 speed film in the freezer. I got a Bell & Howell 35mm half frame camera and ran it into the ground before the film advance mechanism broke. Here is the found footage.
Through The Valley
Following Half Frame Fantasy, a set of images and prologue to a new body of work entitled Through The Valley. This group of photos explore the feeling of broken communication, self image, and isolation through a series of street photos and portraits.
